Our Story

We came together in October 2020 as a small group of concerned individuals who shared a sense of shock, anger and helplessness over a series of brutal rapes reported in the news media. We resolved that we could no longer be silent spectators to the widespread sexual violence being perpetrated against the most vulnerable section of society, our children.

Since then, we have been building the foundations for a long journey ahead. We have reached out to NGO partners working in this space to help us better understand the gaps in the system. We have connected with counselors, workshop conductors, social workers and lawyers to learn from them because we feel it is crucial to incorporate their insights and learning into our programmes. We have been looking into academic research to understand the factors that contribute to sexual offending behaviour amongst individuals. We have been trying to understand how therapy helps to heal the trauma carried by victims of sexual abuse. We have also been reaching out to people in the online space, to you, to educate adults on how to keep children safe from abuse, on how to support and protect children when they share that they have faced abuse in any form.

After being registered as a Section 8 Company in April 2023, we started our first offline programmes in Mumbai in August 2023 with the help of NGO partners. As we grow our team and expand our network, build capacity, raise funds and learn from our experienced partners, we aspire to expand our offline programmes to other locations in urban and rural India. Our Team

Our team is 30 members strong and consists of a vibrant mix of working professionals, college students and alumni from various institutes, including IITs and foreign universities. We are researchers, teachers, engineers, data scientists, college professors, homemakers, auditors, IT professionals, financial analysts, HR specialists, entrepreneurs, graphic designers and social workers.

We welcome team members from all walks of life to bring together multiple perspectives and skill-sets. We are united by our passion to stand against child sexual abuse and create meaningful and long-term impact. We firmly believe that this is everyone’s fight!

Most of our team members are based in various locations across India- Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Vijayawada, Pune, Mangalore, Amritsar and Kolkata- while a few have continued to contribute actively even after shifting abroad for work or further studies. Our online volunteers spend a few hours every week and are responsible for online projects while our part-time and full-time team members dedicate time on a daily basis.
